We have transitioned to clevis pins and clips for Jacobs ladder assemblies, and this is the pin. They provide more clearance than the old hardware and eliminate the need for wrenches to service the ladder.
That second point is the real win. Anything you can adjust or inspect without tools is something that actually gets checked between heats rather than left until next week.
