Ratchet belts are the best way to get a driver genuinely snug in the seat, but mounting them has always been the hard part. This clamp solves it – it holds the ratchet assembly securely to 7/8″ tubing with a gusseted design instead of requiring you to weld a tab or drill the frame.
Belt tension is not a comfort preference, it is a safety requirement. A driver who can move in the seat is a driver who is not properly restrained, and slack in the belts means the body accelerates before the belt catches it. Ratchet belts let a crew member pull real tension in seconds right before the green.
Made for the D1 chassis from 2017 and up, and generally compatible with any 600 micro sprint running 7/8″ tubing in the right location. No welding, no drilling, no compromising a frame member. If you are adding ratchet belts this off-season, order the clamp with them.
