5 Gallon Jug – Scribner

There are many utility jugs on the market and, though they may look similar, there is a wide range of quality to choose from. Scribner jugs are known for their quality and durability, season after season.

The caps on these jugs are among the strongest available, with heavy-duty, thick wall construction and a 3/4 inch pipe plug for hose attachment. The neck of the jug has a flat machined gasket sealing surface for absolute protection against leaks. The sealing system is so reliable, the caps have a thin synthetic gasket instead of a thick rubber O-ring as on other brands.

Each jug features a sturdy handle for easy carrying and pouring. A vent cap at the top of the handle lets air in as you pour liquid out.* Measures 9 1/4 inches square x 21 inches high. Available in Red, White, Green, Blue, or Yellow. All colors except Green include a white cap (Green jugs include a matching green cap).

We also offer an optional Filler Hose (Part No. 2565, sold separately) which can be screwed into the cap in place of the pipe plug.

Note: Not to be used as portable fuel containers in states that require spill-proof systems.

* The venting system is not automatic. You must open the vent cap to equalize pressure.
